School of Computer and Information Sciences

Florida Teacher Certification Courses in Computer Science
(For Certification in Computer Science (Grades K-12) or Recertification)

The Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences offers a series of technology-oriented courses that have been approved for teacher certification in computer science (grades K - 12) or recertification by Florida's Bureau of Teacher Certification. Students wishing to be certified in computer science must contact the Florida Department of Education for certification program advisement. Please note: these courses, approved by Florida's Department of Education, while applicable to Florida State Certification in computer science, do not constitute a certification program.

The rapid advance of computing technology has resulted in a shortage of qualified computer-oriented professionals at all grade levels. The Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences is dedicated to providing computer education courses that keep pace with the technology revolution and create leaders able to take maximum advantage of these changes in their professional and academic settings.

The student may take these as part of a graduate degree program or independently.
