Library Tutorial For GSCIS Students

Students of the Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences will be required to use the university’s library system during their course work and while completing theses or dissertations. This tutorial covers most of what you’ll need to know to use the library. It also provides some techniques to enhance searches for information on the World Wide Web.

The NSU library system provides access to more than 200 subscription databases and provides online access to full-text resources including approximately 20,000 full-text journals, 260,000 dissertations, 70,000 ERIC ED documents, and 27,000 ebooks. Students are able to obtain books and periodicals quickly and efficiently, and have access to more than 10 million books through NSU’s libraries and agreements with other libraries. Students may request delivery of books and other documents to their homes or offices.
