Masters degree students are expected to be present
at each meeting of their classes on campus. Exceptions to this rule may
be made in the case of illness and possibly in other instances when approved
by the course professor. Students should advise their course professors
in advance of any anticipated absences. Additional work may be required
by a course professor for any absence. Excessive absences will result
in a failing grade. For online masters courses, participation/attendance
policies will be covered in the syllabus of each course. Withdrawal and Refund Policy: Students that would like to be dropped from a course and
added into a different course during the Drop/Add period, must email a
request to their advisor. The advisor will process any changes to the
students schedule and will confirm these changes with the student. Failure to attend course(s) or participate in course activities will not automatically drop or withdraw a student from the course or the university. Students who have not withdrawn on or before the withdrawal deadline date will receive letter grades that reflect their performance in the course(s). The program office will confirm receipt of withdrawal requests that are received by the withdrawal deadline date. When a withdrawal request has been confirmed, the transcript will show a grade of W for the course. Depending on the date of withdrawal, the student may be eligible for a partial refund. Students withdrawing between the first and the seventh calendar day of the term will receive a 90 percent refund of tuition paid. Students withdrawing between the eighth and the 28th calendar day of the term will receive a 25 percent refund of tuition paid. Students withdrawing after the 28th calendar day of the term will receive no refund. THE LAST DAY TO WITHDRAW FOR THE SUMMER 2008 TERM IS: August 1, 2008
